Apple iPod Saves Soldier’s Life in Iraq
Kevin Garrad of the United States Military was on patrol in Iraq and was shot by an insurgant armed with an AK47. The iPod in Kevins left chest pocket actually slowed down the bullet enough that it didn’t completely penetrate his body armor. Kevin ended up suffering no wounds, but I’m sure he’s pretty shooken up over the attack! It’s amazing how much of a life saver an iPod can be these days!
This is a pretty amazing story, with even more amazing photos over at Flickr, where you can view the photo set! Let’s hope Apple’s PR people catch wind of this story and send him a free iPod.
